| Breaking News |  | Edwards Sidelined for 6 Months
Tuesday, September 8th, 2009: Palm Beach Cardinals right fielder Jon Edwards suffered a fractured elbow during a recent game with the Brevard County Manatees and will miss 6 months. Edwards told BNN, "I hurt it making a defensive play. I'm optimistic that I will be back quicker than they say."
During the current season Edwards is batting at a .269 clip with 5 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has played in 84 games and scored 39 times. |

Monday, September 7th, 2009: The Florida State League playoffs start today! Only a handful of teams remain in the running for the ultimate prize -- the Round 2 championship. It's playoff time -- a time of glory and victory awaits one of the teams. The team that rises to each eventful occasion -- the team that makes all the right plays at the right time. Today is the start of the Round 1 and here are the opening games:

Monday, September 7th, 2009: Another season has come to pass and "to the winners go the spoils" -- the lucky ones will be headed for the playoffs in a few days and a chance to win the Florida State League title in the Round 2. The envious losers, however, will suffer a long and somber off-season, wondering where it all went wrong and trying to figure out how to do it right. |
