| Breaking News | | Sexton Sensational, 5-5 Wednesday, September 9th, 2009: The Hot Rods whipped the Power 4-0 at Bowling Green Ballpark and Gregory Sexton had a big hand in the win. The Hot Rods third baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Sexton and a tough day for West Virginia.
"I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
Plan or not, Sexton delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league.
G. Sexton singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
For the year Sexton has hit .289 with no home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 12 runs. | | SOU News: Playoffs begin Tuesday, September 8th, 2009: Some clubs have coasted to make the playoffs -- others have scrapped tooth and nail to get here.
