Thursday, September 10th, 2009: For the true baseball fan, playoff baseball is the ultimate experience. The once-in-a-lifetime chance of winning the Round 1. Every player is under intense pressure now. Players might come through in the clutch or fail to rise to the challenge. Managers will be analyzed, second-guessed and third-guessed by observers across the land, all in the span of a nine-inning match-up. The luckiest ones will be there to hoist the championship trophy up to the deafening roar of the fans. It all starts today with the Round 1 and these clashes:

Thursday, September 10th, 2009: Northwest League just concluded the regular season -- and the playoffs -- the real season -- are slated to begin soon. The playoffs separate the men from the boys -- there are no weak sisters in the playoffs. Only the best clubs qualify. You have to play your best to survive. And when it's all over, you can be proud to be proclaimed the Round 1 winner. |

Monday, September 7th, 2009: Chris Amador punched, poked and pummeled the baseball last week and today he garnered a majority of the votes for the Northwest League Player of the Week award.
The Boise Hawks left fielder slashed out a .522 average with 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs.
This season Amador is batting .319 with 4 home runs. His totals include 34 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
