Thursday, September 10th, 2009: The regular season has closed and now the "real" season begins. The playoffs in Pioneer League start today and all the clubs that made it into the Round 1 are hungry to claim the ultimate prize: the champion's mantle -- the Round 2 title. The playoffs begin today with these match-ups:
Casper Ghosts versus Idaho Falls Chukars and Great Falls Voyagers versus Billings Mustangs. |

Thursday, September 10th, 2009: The dust has cleared from the regular season pennant chase and the clubs that survived are getting ready to do battle in the 2009 Pioneer League playoffs. Only the strong survive to play for the Round 2 championship. It's the playoffs -- a very special time to baseball fans everywhere -- and they start in just a few days. |

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009: The final score was 4-0 in favor of Billings. Leading the way to victory was Evan Hildenbrandt, who shackled the Missoula Osprey and held them scoreless on a 2-hitter.
To date this year Hildenbrandt has compiled a 4-1 mark with a 4.35 ERA in 7 starts. |
